Bergamot: The Citrus Happy Oil
by Atanaska Adams
Bergamot is a one-of-a-kind citrus oil. For many generations, Italians have utilized Bergamot for a variety of purposes, including skin rejuvenation and stress reduction. Bergamot has numerous distinguishing characteristics that set it apart from other citrus oils, like the exclusivity of where it is cultivated, the fact that it is a bitter fruit that produces sweet oil, and its ability to create an uplifting and relaxing environment, to mention a few.
Diffusing bergamot essential oil is one of the greatest methods to reap its relaxing effects. The next time you see your stress or anxiety levels rising, try diffusing Bergamot oil for a relaxing impact in the office, at work, or at home.
Applying Bergamot essential oil to your skin while taking a shower is a great way to unwind after a long day and take advantage of both its relaxing and skin-purifying properties. Apply Bergamot essential oil to your skin while you’re in the shower and breathe deeply to enjoy the relaxing aroma and the purifying skin benefits of this multipurpose oil.

BENEFITS OF BERGAMOT ESSENTIAL OIL
A citrus fruit with Mediterranean origins, bergamot is nearly entirely farmed in the Calabria region of southern Italy. This obscure citrus fruit is probably best known for its delightful Earl Grey tea flavoring. Bergamot is thought to have come into existence in southern Italy as the offspring of a sour orange and a sweet lime. The fruit ripens from green to lemon yellow and is about the size of an orange. Bergamot oil, which is extracted from the fresh peel despite the fruit’s acidic flavor, has a sweet scent. Bergamot oil may also help to relax muscles and maintain a healthy neural system, cardiovascular system, and cognitive function.
For a calming massage oil, combine doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil and Bergamot oil. Avoid sunshine or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying Bergamot oil if you’re using it topically. Additionally, bergamot oil has purifying qualities. To lessen the appearance of imperfections and revive the skin, use it into your overnight skincare routine. It works well as a surface cleaning as well.
