Diffuse Your Worries Away with Essential Oils

Everyone, at some point, experiences feelings of anxiousness which can be mild to severe. Some are generally manageable and can be cured. There are many things one can do to help reduce stress – some go on a self-help course, some exercise regularly and change their diet and some cut down on things that may cause stress in their bodies to improve health and wellness. Others cope with and reduce anxiety through relaxation and using essential oils–like me!

Let me work you right through it. This form of relaxation uses extracts from plants called essential oils, by either breathing them through your nose or putting them on your skin. It uses essential oils to promote personal well-being. Essential oils are made from flowers, herbs, and tree parts, like bark, roots, peels, and petals. The cells that give a plant its fragrant smell are its so-called “essence.” Aromatherapy activates areas in your nose called smell receptors, which send messages through your nervous system to your brain.

The essential oils may activate certain areas of your brain, like your limbic system, which plays a role in your emotions. They could also have an impact on your hypothalamus, which may respond to the essential oils by creating feel-good brain chemicals like serotonin. Some ideas for aromatherapy use are candles, diffusers, body products, massage, and meditation. Here are my personal favorites!aromatherapy
